Steven Hayles
LL.B. - Solicitor
Steven Hayles was the winner of the Macrossan & Amiet Prize in 2003 for outstanding results during his first year of studying law at James Cook University, in Townsville.
Steven went on to do several work experience stints during university holidays, joining the firm full-time in January 2006 as a Trainee Solicitor.
As a Mackay local, Steven was pleased to find employment with Macrossan & Amiet, a firm with a wealth of legal experience and highly respected reputation in the legal community. In April 2007 he was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court.
Driven by a natural curiosity to understand the rules by which our society operates, Steven finds satisfaction in being able to provide clients with the right guidance and advice to the particular problems they face.
As a high school student, Steven contemplated a studying a commerce degree and now considers himself fortunate not to have resigned himself to a career as an accountant.
Steven's areas of expertise are residential conveyancing, debt collection and wills and estates & criminal law.
Steven is a keen sportsman and enjoys swimming, running and touch football and on weekends he loves to watch the National Rugby League.
